Join us for Scotland's first history & heritage Product Forge where subject matter experts, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, designers and technologists will be spending 75 hours exploring Scotland’s heritage though data and technology.
Participants form into teams to rapidly prototype a new digital concept over the four days of the event. You don't need to bring your own idea, and you don't need to be technical. All you need is the drive and enthusiasm to solve an unsolved problem!
Open to everyone from unlikely innovators to seasoned founders; whether you want to launch a startup, develop a product within an existing organisation, or solve a problem that you have studied at university, this event will leave you equipped will the mindset, teammates and tools for disruption.
Most of our participants won't have met prior to arriving so don't worry if you're coming by yourself! You'll be supported by a team of experienced mentors.
Doors open at 5pm for a 6pm start on Thursday 30th May 2019
8-10 Corn Exchange Road, Stirling, FK8 2HX
Event concludes at 9pm on Sunday 2nd June
Participant tickets include all meals and 24hr access to the event venue. You don't need to have an idea or even know anyone else who is going before you register - all you need to bring is a laptop and your enthusiasm! Our mentors will be on hand from Thursday evening to help you find a team and get the best from the event.
Non-technical? No problem! Events like these are not possible without the input of domain experts, designers, researchers and service users. Creativity happens at the intersection of different disciplines and anyone with an interest in history and heritage can make a valuable contribution.
Can't make the whole event? While you'll get the best from the experience if you can join us from Thursday evening, don't consider it a deal-breaker. Drop us an email and we can arrange for you to join us at a later time.
